Yeah! Wonderful event we had on last Saturday at KL pac. If you've never been to KL pac, go! Stop at Sentul KTM station, and walk 15mins (there is shortcut). Beautiful place, loads of performances. If you always headache what to do on weekend, go KL pac.

Tropicana Life Street Tee Competition

This design won the 3rd prize of Tropicana Life Street Tee Competition.

My concept:
The word “STREET” is formed by letter “S”and “T” plus “Tree”. The original word suggests a street with trees. But something is missing in the street that we living in today. Buildings become the main elements on the street.

My design is a combination of typo and graphic, the street is slowly occupied by the increase of buildings. Cutting edge designers goes beyond “design for design sake”, they are more Eco-concern. The challenge of contemporary designers is to use design as a tools to communicate with the world. Tee shirt serves as an effective platform for artists to express their thoughts.

Again, what is more HIT than environmental issue? The street style reflects the thoughts and life-style of city living people and the real tropical eco-life.



Mine one is promo Tee-27. Just go to any Tropicana Life outlet and you can get the T-shirt. All the money collected will be donated to SPASTIC CHILDREN ASSOCIATION OF SELANGOR AND FEDERAL TERRITORY.

哪。。。今天是父亲节，我就再一次看了一次智海的爸爸。

黑白的漫画就有这样的力量，单调的画面，对比强烈的大黑大白，却又有一种近乎死亡的寂寞。

智海运用漫画语言的功夫到家，它不必太多对白，也不像电影。他，就是要表达看漫画的“静”。

What am I doing recently

I have participated in a illustration competition. Yes, my aim is the Wii console.
I am hoping to change it with Iphone if I really win, haha. Of course, the winners got the chance to exhibition their works during the Taipei Toy Festival in Taiwan this year.



The story of the character LEO ROMEO reminds me of Salvador Dali. The initial sketches have a lion face at the background.


I also tried on M.C. Escher's multi-view-point approach.


Final pencil line.


Out of busy work-load, I was left one night for colouring. A lot of details are yet to be refined. But I enjoy the "paint touch" of the process. Not to be restricted by the outline, just keep paint over the underlaying paint. The end result is a bit "oil paint-like" or "gouache-like".

魔术棒再次产生作用。这一次，他把LEO进了现代主义大师的画布世界。塞尚的苹果，凡高的木椅，达利的梦。

梦中充满不知名的事物，LEO期待着另外一次的精神冒险。

象征：

棋和棋盘代表LEO的人生。拥有权力却没了自由。飘起来的LEO化成精神体。远方的狮子国王在定睛看着他。
